It’s almost one year since we begun the development stage for TrippyDoo. One year in which our enthusiasm curve went up and down like a roller coaster, one year in which I learned that there are times when you need to encourage, and times when you need to put you foot down - and I also learned to know how to distinguish between the two.
One year in which frustrations were counterbalanced by the positive feedback. One year in which I’ve learned all there was to know about bootstrapping, and actually am considering giving lessons
Have my initial plans corresponded to the reality? Well… not quite. The partners I begun the project with are long gone, and now I have some new ones. But the project is now in open beta, we have implemented some cool features and many others are on my Google docs. I have used the experts I needed along the way, and I got some great advice for free (one of the good things of bootstrapping).
What I’ve also learned this past year is that there are many experts, but little expertise and it takes a thorough look to find it; to never accept a “this can’t be done” type of answer; to work with people from distance and make things happen, and that stress in nothing until you’re an entrepreneur.
This being said, let’s get back focusing on building the future.
