How 2.0. creates front page news

Reading an interesting article in The NY Observer regarding a funny story about how news can be created through online socializing. And I was just wondering: when does a blogging-news becomes a print-news? And who’s accountable for the credibility, after all? Bloggers, or journalists? Also thinking of how we can update posts if after publishing we become aware of contradictory information, but a print news can’t be taken back, it stays there forever (may check the TechCrunch article regarding Twitter ads).

On the other side, if we exchange quick infos on blogs, or Twitter, and then we read the same news in the papers after 3-4 days, we feel somewhat bored, and think that if we’re ahead of them, there isn’t any reason to read them. So here’s my dilemma: give more credit to first hand blogging-news, or to more credible, researched newspaper…news? Hmm…
